Sweet Smoked Paprika, Pimenton de la Vera

£3.99

This mild smoked paprika is made from ground Capsicum peppers by El Rey de la Vera in Extremadura, south-west Spain. The sweet (mild) peppers are picked, then dried and smoked in the traditional way over oak fires. Then they are ground into a fine powder using traditional stone wheels.

This is a method started by monks in the 15th century in the region of La Vera. The area has remained renowned for this product since then, and has its own Denomination of Origin as a guarantee of its quality.

We love to use his on our paella and to mix with salt to coat our crispy fried potatoes.

INGREDIENTS: Paprika (Capsicum annum, C. longum)

Keep in a cool, dry place
