What is Tapas?

Originating in Spain, Tapas is a selection of small dishes served together for everyone to try, share and enjoy.

Originally thought to have been devised as a method of getting their stricken king, Alfonso X to take more food, the sheer variety of modern tapas dishes ensures that there will be something for everyone on our vibrant and exciting menu.
An evening at The Bank is designed to be an experience; enjoy a selection or daring and flavoursome foods, together.

Be adventurous, with smaller dishes there’s absolutely no reason not to try something new!

The Bank At Bude started as a vision to combine fantastic Spanish flavours with the abundance of amazing fresh produce we have here in Cornwall.

My family and I have very fond memories of travelling to Span and I wanted to bring that same experience back home with me.

It turns out that the infusion of Spanish dishes and Cornish ingredients makes for some truely beautiful Tapas.

Our menu encompasses an array of traditional ingredients imported from Spain, to create dishes packed full of vibrant and scintillating flavours.

All the while our team will ensure that the simplicity of our fresh, locally sourced Cornish produce remains the star of each and plate. There are all traditional Spanish starters to wet your appetite and sweet treats to finish your evening and of given The Bank’s Spanish themed inspiration, we pride ourselves on have a wide range of Spanish wines, traditional Spanish Sangria and beer as well as cocktails and the nations favourite party drinks.

Our menu is split into three distinct categories. From The Sea Fish dishes, From the field meat dishes and from the Garden, an array of flavoursome Vegetarian and vegan dishes.
